LEVEL 101 – I’m new to ASL or know up to 200 basic signs and the alphabet, but I haven’t taken a formal class yet.
LEVEL 102 – I know some signs and can fingerspell, but I don’t feel confident having conversations. Or I’m currently learning Signing Naturally Units 1–6 or 7–12.
LEVEL 103 – I can hold basic conversations in ASL and understand everyday topics, but I still need support with grammar, facial expressions, and vocabulary. Or I’ve completed Signing Naturally Units 1–12 and am ready to build on what I’ve learned.
LEVEL 104 – I can understand ASL with ease and communicate comfortably on a range of topics. Or I’m currently learning Signing Naturally Units 13–17 (Level 2) or Units 18–25 (Level 3).
